I agree with the message. Kids are growing up with technology and they aren't learning the social part of life. They won't know how easy it is to talk to people because they have never done it before. If you're constantly on your phone then you really are missing things around you that are going on. I would rather actually be with my friends and doing something with them rather than just texting them. It's a lot more fun to actually go out and do something with people instead of checking social media sites all the time.

What is a 'splash page'? Look it up. Explain what they are and how they are used. Find an example of a splash page in Google Images. Save the image to you computer and then upload it to your blog post. Hint - see below.

It is what you first see before you go to the main screen. It promotes something so that you are wanting to view the rest of the website. It will have animated graphics and sounds. Sometimes it will bring you to the main website or you will have to click on a link to get to the main page.

I need a lot more time. I was gone all of last week so I haven't started any of my content pages. So obviously I will not be done tomorrow and I will need to come in after school and work on it.

Welcome back! How was your Spring Break? Tell me all about it. You've been out of school for 10 days so I know you will have plenty to share. Make it good!

For Spring Break, I went to Pensacola, Florida with one of my friends. We have a couple friends down there so we went to see them. We also met some really cool people when we were there. Most of the days it was raining and a little cold so when it was warm, we spent the whole day at the beach. When it would be raining we would go shopping and get henna tattoos. Going to Florida was my birthday present, so I got back on the 19. Then my birthday was the 20 and I turned 17. For my birthday I got my belly button pierced and went to lunch and dinner with my family. I have a twin so it was also her birthday.

I like this layout and I also liked the brainstorming sheet because I already have my website mapped out I just have to actually create everything. It's more helpful because you have less thinking to do when making the website because you already have it all written down in front of you.

After reading below to see where you should be on your product website - are you caught up? What helps you stay caught up in class? Do you like having small checkpoints? Are you behind? If so, what are you going to do to get caught up?

For the most part I am caught up. I just need to make my footer and insert that. What helps me stay caught up is having the small checkpoints rather than having a lot due over a long period of time. This helps me know exactly what I need to get done each day. To get caught up I just need to make my footer and that won't take very long at all.

Something that makes my product different is that it's selling a living thing. It's adopting a pet. Most people are selling a product that is an inanimate object but mine is a dog or cat.

I have chosen to do a pet adoption. I chose this because I adopted a cat last year and now I'm just wanting to make a website for it. I really love pets and animals so it would be fun to make a website all about it.

What are three things you learned about color theory and web design  yesterday? Go in to detail.

1.Colors all coordinate with each other in order to look more appealing to the eye. For example, blue and orange because they are opposites on the color wheel.
2. You can have different types of ways to get colors that go well with each other on the color wheel. For example, you can have opposites or other ways to have up to 5 colors that all go well together.
3. You cannot make red, blue, or yellow from any other colors but you only need those colors to make all of the other ones.

Color scheme makes your whole website. You need to have something that is appealing to the eye or else people won't want to look at it. It can make it better by attracting new people. It can make it worse if it's overdone and is overwhelming to the viewer. Color is important because it is the foundation of your website. If that's not going well together then no matter what you do, your website will still look unappealing.

What did you learn about file types as you created and designed your travel website? What are some other kinds of file types you know of? What do these different files do? Explain.

While creating the travel site website i learned about png which makes it a picture but if you save it as psd I think, then it's the photoshop file. Pretty much for every program you use there will be a file for it. I don't know specific examples but some programs would be photoshop, word, excel, etc. You can also have a jpeg which saves that file as a picture.

What was your takeaway from this Travel Site? What did you learn that you didn't know before? How will the knowledge of how we built this site help you improve your future websites?

I learned a lot about creating a rollover image and there are so many more things that you can actually do on Dreamweaver that we haven't even talked about already. Having the knowledge about the Travel Site will help me to make my next websites more creative and be able to do more things with it.

I don't really know anything about Photoshop. I used it a long time ago for a class in middle school but haven't since the. I think it can alternate pictures and you can do different things with them. I am definitely a newbie. That is pretty much all I know about Photoshop.

Someone using my website would be clicking on different links to get to different pages and seeing a lot of charts with different colors. Some easy things to use on my website are  the navigation bar and the link at the bottom to see more pictures of what that page is over. I can make it easier by make the link at the bottom of the page more obvious. This is really important because the user needs to be able to use your website easily and not struggle trying to find things or trying to figure out how to use it.

On Friday, I went out with some friends and just hung out and then came back to my house. Saturday, I got my nails done and went shopping with a couple of friends and then went out to dinner because we didn't go to sweetheart. Sunday, I got my hair done and then went over to my friend Logan's house and watched a couple movies.

My All About Me site tells you about my family, pets, favorite music and places that I've traveled to.  I chose those topics because they are the pretty basic things about me that would be easy to make a website over. My plans are that it will be very colorful and the colors will look cohesive.

The HTML code was pretty cool. It was neat to be able to see that you can make all of that just by coding. I enjoyed the coding activity because you can see everything appear right after you type in the code for it. Yes, I learned a lot by the activity and seeing just how easy is is to make the simple things on a website.

Over the three day weekend, I went out with some  friends and went to dinner on Friday night. On Saturday, I spent the day watching movies with a friend and then went out to dinner with my family. On Sunday, I went to church and then lunch with my family. Afterwards I went to the mall to buy some new clothes. Monday, I spent my day going to friends farm and riding horses.

I agree with it because if someone is putting a picture on the internet then they are wanting people to see it. If someone else wants to use it, why can't they do it? You're putting it out there so you should already be expecting that to happen. If you don't want someone else to use it then you shouldn't put it up. You can't stop someone else from doing that.

What do you know about plagiarism? What do you know about plagiarism on the internet? How do web design, the internet and plagiarism all effect each other? Explain.

Plagiarism is when you take someone else's work, and don't give credit to them. You are basically stealing their ideas and using them as your own. On the internet, plagiarism would happen when you are trying to look up ideas for yourself, but instead copy it and then you don't give any recognition to the author. Web design, the internet, and plagiarism all effect each other by seeing someone else's work and doing or saying the exact same thing. You should be unique and coming up with your own ideas so that you aren't copying someone else.

I know that HTML things are used. Web design is you designing anything on the web that has your unique style added to it.  It works by building a website and making it your own. I don't know of any specific programs that help set up a website. Some tools are other websites to help you create your own website.
